Call Us If You Need An Experienced Criminal Defense Attorney: Serving the State of Wyoming (Wyo)

Kenneth DeCockKenneth DeCock at Plains Law Offices, LLP represents people accused of all manner of criminal conduct. The fact that our web site does not contain a direct link to a page discussing the crime you have been accused of does not mean that we will not be able to defend you.  There are simply too many laws for us to list each specific crime.

At Plains Law Offices, LLP, we believe every person accused of a crime deserves a quality, aggressive defense. The burden is always upon the state to prove you are guilty of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt. We take that very seriously. At every jury trial, the attorney’s at Plains Law Offices, LLP not only force the state to present evidence sufficient to erase every reasonable doubt from all jurors’ minds, we work to present a compelling defense designed to create doubt and question the validity of the state’s case. Every case, every client, every time. An investment in an attorney is an investment in your future. Will you be convicted or acquitted? Will you obtain a good plea bargain or a fair one? The right attorney makes all the difference. The best time to consult with an attorney is not after you’ve been charged with a crime, but when you realize you are under investigation. Having an attorney on board early is not a sign of guilt. It is an intelligent decision to protect yourself from mistakes that could ultimately lead to a criminal conviction.

Exercise Your Rights

Every American enjoys the right to be free from unreasonable search and self incrimination. The Fourth Amendment provides that officers cannot search a person or place without a warrant. There are several well defined exceptions to this rule, one being consent. If law enforcement asks you if they can search your house or car, just say “no”. They may try to hold it against you, but they cannot use a refusal to consent to search against you at trial.

Your Fifth Amendment right to remain silent is just that. You don’t have to talk to the police about anything. Do not lie to the police, just reply “I don’t not want to answer that question” and always ask that your lawyer be present for any further questioning.
